Faldin Vladimir Nikitovich (1928-2017)

Leningrad artist. Born in the city of Tula. Graduated from the ‘Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School named after V.I. Mukhina‘ (’Stieglitz Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School"). He lived and worked in Leningrad.Vladimir Faldin is a recognised master of Russian landscape. Each of his works, whether it be forest trails dear to his heart or sun-drenched sea coast, is imbued with a sense of aching authenticity.
Vladimir Faldin is rightly considered to be a continuer of the Russian school of realistic painting. The artist supports the traditions of such world-famous masters as Repin, Surikov, Serov, Levitan.
Portraits of the artist amaze with psychological depth, it is as if he saw the soul of the portraitist. And still lifes of the master's hand seem to exude a subtle fragrance of flowers - so skilfully conveyed their charm. Only art can make beauty eternal!Vladimir Faldin is a participant of numerous All-Russian exhibitions. His paintings were sold at the auction ‘Sotheby's’, printed in major Soviet socio-political and literary-artistic magazines. His works decorate private collections in many countries of the world: Russia, Italy, Germany, USA, France, Japan, Finland, etc.
